A little more about the coffee:
This coffee is grown by the Tekangu Farmers Cooperative Society which has about 1700 members. Many of the members live in and around Karatina town in Nyeri. The Ngunguru Factory that processed this coffee is one of 3 owned and operated by Tekangu FCS. Tekangu is made up of smallholder farms, each with 100 trees. The soil around Mount Kenya is rich and volcanic, mainly with Nitisol which occurs in highlands and on volcanic steep slopes. This region is known for coffees with intense and complex profiles.
